Summary: FOYLE'S WAR is a drama series that boasts a marriage of history and fictional mystery. Actor Michael Kitchen stars in the title role of Christopher Foyle, an English police inspector who fights local crimes in an environment riddled with war propaganda and social turmoil. In this episode, at a time when German nationals are being interned in British camps, the beautiful Austrian wife of a local magistrate is resented by locals. When she is found murdered, a swastika painted on a nearby tree, Foyle realizes the seemingly peaceful Sussex town harbors any number of suspects.
