Summary:

When the storks no longer come to the little Dutch fishing village of Shora to nest, Lina devises a plan to bring them back. Her composition about storks begins the children's campaign. She and the other children must overcome many obstacles, but they don't give up, and soon they get the whole village working to make their dream come true.
